Best known as "Texas Lil," Lynda Arnold has been in and out of the news for years. Sadly, she was recently the victim of a fatal accident. There were two vehicles involved in a collision, one of which she was driving at the time.
Officials say it appears Arnold had slowed down in order to navigate a crossover lane in the middle of a highway. Another motorist approaching from behind reportedly failed to adjust speed and smashed into her vehicle. Sadly, Arnold did not survive her injuries in the crash.
The well-known Texas lady is a former mayor and had also amassed quite a fortune as the owner of a successful dude ranch. Neither of those careers lasted, however. In fact, the dude ranch went bankrupt, and she was charged with arson after it was torched several days after new owners took possession.
Arnold was not indicted and always maintained her own innocence regarding the incident. Most recently, she was employed at a flower shop and living in a small apartment, a vast difference from her former 4,000 square foot home on almost 200 acres of land. It was not stated whether her son or another immediate family member would pursue a wrongful death claim in the aftermath of the fatal accident. Texas law allows immediate family members to file such claims in order to seek monetary recovery of their losses. This type of litigation often helps grieving families alleviate the burden of financial losses sustained in the aftermath of their loved ones' deaths.
