Michelle M. Maloney
Michelle M. Maloney

As an attorney, Michelle works tirelessly to remedy wrongs caused by corporate greed, inattention to detail and the tragic tendency to place profits over patients. Michelle views every case as a chance to make our community safer; by drawing attention to basic patient safety violations that occur every day and claim lives across the United States, her goal is to prevent these horrific occurrences from happening to anyone else, and to get just compensation for her clients.

The first member of the next generation of Maloney attorneys, Michelle graduated cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law before moving back to San Antonio to practice with her mother, Marynell Maloney, a renowned advocate for the disenfranchised. Michelle has spearheaded sexual abuse cases that provided the means for the survivors to attend college and birth injury cases that provided for medical care and specialized therapies for the rest of the injured children's lives. Michelle's passion projects are cases involving the mistreatment and neglect of our elderly neighbors in San Antonio nursing homes. Though many attorneys will not take these cases because they are not seen as "profitable," Michelle believes that the nursing homes and the companies who staff doctors in nursing homes should and must be held accountable for negligent acts that maim, injure or kill vulnerable, elderly residents.

Michelle is licensed in Texas, and handles medical malpractice, nursing home negligence and wrongful death cases. Since joining the Marynell Maloney Law Firm, Michelle has achieved compensation for her clients and punished Defendants for their bad conduct to the tune of millions of dollars. Michelle has successfully represented clients in high stakes settlement negotiations and mediations and is honored that her clients have put their trust and futures in her hands. As Michelle works primarily with families who have been devastated by horrific injuries or the deaths of loved ones, she understands how difficult the lengthy, litigation process can be and she strongly believes that a lawyer's duty to her client is to listen first, advise second, and advocate always.

A passionate advocate for animals in her spare time, Michelle also handles some noteworthy animal law cases including the "Marley" and "Buddy" cases, which were striking victory for dogs and their owners in San Antonio. Michelle's eighteen-year-old Chihuahua, Arlo, can often be found napping under her desk.
