Michelle M. Maloney
Michelle M. Maloney

Michelle Maloney is a trailblazing attorney whose work exists at the intersection of medical malpractice and civil rights. She is a third generation Texas lawyer, and a powerful advocate for patients and women in Texas. Her practice has grown to focus largely on the maternal death crisis in Texas, but she handles cases across the medical malpractice spectrum.

Michelle is highly selective in the cases she chooses to take on, and she focuses on cases that have the potential to create safety and change across systems. She is a long-time advocate for victims within the legal system, and is widely recognized for the quality, thoroughness and intensity of her work and for the outstanding, high-dollar recoveries she obtains from insurance companies for her clients.

Michelle works tirelessly to remedy wrongs caused by corporate greed and the tragic tendency to place profits over patients. She views every single case as a chance to make our community safer and, in addition to seeking just compensation for her clients from insurance companies, she routinely seeks policy changes and other innovative solutions as part of her settlement demands.

Michelle’s clients are never just another case to her. It is critical to her that the dignity of each human being – including the defendants in her cases – is acknowledged, and that her clients’ stories are fully told. Likewise, being a lawyer is just one aspect of Michelle and she also embraces her roles as mother, wife, dog parent and rescuer, writer and farmer. Check out her passion project The Wild Farm here, where she works with other women farmers and gardeners to grow fresh food and flowers for distribution to the community.
